"Making Your Own DVD's" Book at PC Expo
Irvine,
California, 26th
June
2000—DV Studio Technologies, LLC timed the release of their new 64 page book,
"Making Your Own
DVDs," to coincide with the introduction of the new 4.7 GB DVD-RAM drives from Panasonic, Hitachi, and Toshiba. All three drive manufacturers and DV Studio Technologies will be participating in the launch of these new drives (and media) in the DVD-RAM Pavilion rooms 1C02-1C03 at PC Expo in NYC's Javits Convention Center. Show dates are 27th - 29th June 2000.
According to Stephen Godfrey, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at DV Studio Technologies (and the book's author),
"There is significant confusion and uncertainty surrounding DVD and MPEG technologies amongst prospective users. The net effect is an impediment to the user's capacity to make a comfortable informed buying decision. As a means to stimulate demand for these leading-edge technologies, we felt that a better effort to educate the prospective users must be made. That's why we created the
book."
"Making Your Own
DVDs" was written with the non-technical reader in mind and also incorporates 3 helpful Appendices (Resources, Manufacturer's Specifications, Glossary). The cover price of $5.95.
DV Studio Technologies, LLC is a leader in the manufacture of MPEG-2 encoding/decoding hardware and software plus DVD archiving software. The firm's web site is
