The first session will explain the technical details of image, audio and video data types which are storage intensive.  The second session will cover DVD authoring which is defined as the process of preparing content, encoding video and audio, and creating the final disc image.  The third session will deal with DVD as a computer peripheral and the fundamental concepts of DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD-RAM, and DVD-R+W.

Dr. Ash Pahwa is considered one of the pioneers in the development of the CD-ROM and digital video industries since 1986.  He has specialized in database and file management systems, and designed database management and operating systems software.  At DV Studio, Dr. Pahwa developed CD-Gen and CD-Arch pre-mastering and mastering software for the CD-Recordable market, and Apollo and MPEGCamera, both real-time MPEG-1 encoder boards for the digital video market.  DV Studio developed Apollo Expert DVDer, an MPEG-2 encoder/decoder that edits MPEG-2 video and provides DVD authoring.  The firm’s web site is www.dv-studio.com.
