DV Studio Technologies Launches New Apollo Expert Plus Model With Built-in DV-to-DVD Transcoding
Yorba Linda, California, 11th December 2000—DV Studio Technologies, LLC announced today that it is in the process of rolling out its newest MEPG-2 Encoder/Decoder & DVD Authoring product, Apollo Expert Plus. Originally conceived as an evolution of the firm’s popular Apollo Expert DVDer system, the product’s hot new DV-to-DVD Transcoding capabilities were seen as sufficiently important to warrant an entirely new model designation. DV Transcoding enables users to download their DV format video footage via the Firewire (IEEE 1394) card of their choice and have this footage stored on their hard drive as AVI files. Apollo Expert Plus will then encode these AVI files into MPEG-2 and then create a DVD image from it.
