Yorba Linda, California, 24th August 2001—DV Studio Technologies, LLC (DVST) announced today that it is in the process of inaugurating a new Custom DVD Creation Service. The service is will accommodate video footage in popular consumer, prosumer, and professional tape formats. Customer DVDs are created in the DVD-R format which can be played on most home DVD players or computers with DVD-ROM drives. The price for a 1 hour DVD is only $69.95 and $89.95 for a 2 hour disc. DVST offers even lower prices for copies ordered at the same time as the original—$39.95 and $59.95 respectively. The company intends to also offer various other discounts and incentives from time to time. Customers send their tapes directly to DVST with an order form downloaded from the firm’s web site (www.dv-studio.com/dvd.htm). The finished DVD includes thumb-nail scene navigation points for quick and easy random-access to the desired scene. These are also reproduced with a title of the customer’s choosing on the sleeve of the DVD case. DVDs may be either up to 1 hour or up to 2 hours in duration.
