DV Studio Technologies Debuts
Yorba Linda, California, 22nd October 2001—DV Studio Technologies, LLC (DVST) announced today the release of the newest product in its Apollo range, APOLLO EXPERT ARCHIVER. APOLLO EXPERT ARCHIVER enables those in business or industry with a library of important video footage stored on various videotape formats to easily and conveniently archive this material onto DVD. The product has been designed by DVST to be as universal as possible. Universal in video standards--supports both NTSC and PAL. Universal on the INPUT side--accepts video from VTRs of any tape format via S-Video or Composite Video. And, it accepts .avi files made from Type-1 and Type-2 DV format videotapes. Universal on the OUTPUT side--sends the DVD image file to all currently available DVD Writer Drives via SCSI, Firewire, USB 2.0, or ATAPI. Apollo Expert Archiver runs under Windows XP, 2000, and NT (4.0). APOLLO EXPERT ARCHIVER's exclusive Auto-indexing capability provides automatic insertion of navigate points into the content of the finished DVD. These "thumb-nails" of video provide easy access to the desired scene for viewing. Since APOLLO EXPERT ARCHIVER does all of this automatically, involvement from the system operator is unnecessary. According to Stephen Godfrey, DV Studio Technologies' VP Marketing & Sales, "The need to make the DVD archiving process easy-to-use and virtually universal-in-scope was the challenge we faced. Companies and organizations with this need also expected a system which could be comfortably operated by their clerical staff. We believe that our new Apollo Expert Archiver meets each of these objectives. And, quite affordably so." With a MSRP of only $1995.00, APOLLO EXPERT ARCHIVER is considered to be well within the reach of its intended user-base. DV Studio Technologies provides MPEG Compression and DVD Creation solutions as an OEM supplier and also under its own Apollo trademark. # # # # #
